The Last will and Testament of Willis Duff Green

I, Willis Duff Green, of Mt. Vernon, Jefferson County, Illinois, being of sound and deposing mind and memory, do make and declare this to be my last Will and Testament.

First: - I, direct that all of my just debts be paid.

Second: - I, give, devise and bequeath, to my Daughters, Inez I. Green, Laura R. Green, Minnie Green, and Madie F. Green, in equal parts the survivors or survivor to take the share or shares of such one or ones as may die prior to my death all of my Estate, Real, and personal or mixed, of which I may die seized, except the bequeaths hereinafter made.

Third: - I, give and bequeath to my son, Alfred Morton Green, in Trust for his Daughter Stella Smith, nee Green, the sum of One Thousand Dollars, It is my Will and desire that my son execute said trust without being required to give bond therefor.

Fourth: - I, give and bequeath to my sons William H. Green, and Earl Green, each the Sum of One Thousand Dollars.

Fifth: - It is my desire that my sons William H. Green, and Earl Green, be appointed Executors of this Will, and I hereby direct that such appointment be made and that they act without Bond.

Sixth: - It is my desire, and I hereby direct that, in the event of my death before the completion of the building which I am having built at the corner of Eight and Broadway streets, my Executors use the moneys I may have on hands to complete the same.

Seventh: - I, hereby revoke all former Wills by me made.

In Witness hereof I, Willis Duff Green, have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal, the FOURTH day of August, A.D. 1904.

The above Will, consisting of one page, was signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Willis Duff Green, as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us who, in his presence, and in the presence of each other, and at his request, have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
