My grandmother is in the back row on the far right. She taught school in Jefferson County Illinois, before marriage, (before 1904) Her name was Alberta Holmes. She is listed as Bertie Holmes, as a teacher at Nooner school in a list of Jefferson County schools on this website.

We think she may have taught at Fairplay school, and West Side School. I don"t know anyone else in the photo.
