Born 1903 in Linneus Missouri Son of William and Lucy (Sallee) Prather. Died 1965, Chatham IL. Interred at Oakwood Cemetery, Mt Vernon IL. He graduated from the Chillicothe Business School in 1922. Married Helen Adelia Strattan at the First Methodist Church in Nashville IL.(no date).

He was employed in the office of Swift and Co. in Mt Vernon early in the marriage and she worked at the Mt. Vernon Furnace Co., They had a new home on the East hard road.

They later moved to Springfied where they worked in the Offices of the State Dept for most of their lives.
