Olga Mable (Buescher) Yandell

Olga Mable Yandell, 82, of 124 N. 6th St., died at 2:30 am Sunday at Doctors Nursing Home in Salem.

Mrs. Yandell was born in Chester on June 13, 1894, the daughter of Henry and Caroline (Klamp) Buescher.

She was married to Leonard L. Yandell in Mt. Vernon on Oct. 10, 1912. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1964.

They owned and operated Yandell's Market at 5th and Harrison.

Mrs. Yandell was an active member of the Epworth Methodist Church for 54 years, and awarded a 50 year pin for service to the United Methodist Women in 1975, and was a charter member of the Jefferson County Home Extension, and belonged to the Summerville Round Dozen.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm at Myers-Baril Chapel, with the Rev. Marvin Friesner and Dr. Clyde Funkhouser officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 6 pm Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to Easter Seals Foundation or the Handicapped Children's Fund.

Mrs. Yandell is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Proctor (Merle) Phillips, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Ernie (Leanora) Garrison, Denver, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Ed (Jeannette) Ratliff, Springfield; three grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother.
