Irma Louisa Yaeger
Irma Louisa Yaeger, 86, of MT. Vernon died 1:35 p.m. June 15, 2005,
at Nature Trail Healthcare Center in Mt. Vernon. She worked at Carps
Department Store and More Value Department Store. She also worked as
a sales clerk at Indian Hills Golf Pro Shop.
Mrs. Yaeger was born June 30, 1918, in Mt. Vernon to Albert and Cora Ward
Harlow. She married Adolph H. "Buck" Yaeger Feb. 11, 1939, in St. Louis, Mo.;
he preceded her in death March 14, 2002.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Hughey Funeral Home in
Mt. Vernon. Jamie Allen will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery
in Mt. Vernon. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hughey Funeral Home
in Mt. Vernon.
Mrs. Yaeger is survived by two sons, Herman Duane Yaeger of Mt. Vernon and
Wendall Yaeger and wife Jan of Mt. Vernon; four grandchildren, Michael, Amy
and Stacy Yaeger and Zohn McLaughlin; two great-grandchildren, Alec and Cami
McLaughlin; sisters-in-law Elsie Harlow of Springfield, Mo., and Jan Harlow of
Phoenix, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, eight brothers and
four sisters.
Mrs. Yaeger was a member of Central Christian Church in Mt. Vernon and Senior
Olympics. She was a past president of the Junior Women's Club and was
an avid golfer and bowler.

be accepted at the funeral home or may be made to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box
