James E. Wright

James E. Wright, of 1607 White street, owner and operator of Wright's Radio and TV Service, died at 2:15 a.m. today at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, three hours after suffering a heart attack. He was 53 years, 11 months and 26 days of age.

Mr. Wright was vice president of the Mt. Vernon Central Trades and Labor Council and secretary treasurer of the local musicians union. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.

He was born March 1, 1913 in Jefferson county, the son of Ellisworth and Edna (Fairchild) Wright.

On November 30, 1946 he was married, at Carbondale, to Wilma Kiebba, who survives.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a foster son, James Blaylock, at home; a brother, Aven Wright of Fort Worth, Texas; several aunts and uncles and three nieces.

Funeral services for James E. Wright, 53, of 1607, White street, will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Myers Chapel. The Rev. Mervin E. Chadbourne will officiate and burial will be in New Shiloh cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. today.
