Ida (Mayfield) Wood

Mrs. Ida WOOD, widow of Pierce WOOD died at 9:30 last night at her home in Dix. Death was due to paralysis, with which she was severely stricken Sunday morning. Mrs. WOOD, had she lived until next March, would have been 62 years old.

Before her marriage her name was MAYFIELD and she was born in Jefferson County.

Mrs. WOOD was a faithful Christian woman and had a large nuber of friends, by which she was held in the highest respect. She had for many years been a member of the Methodist Church.

Burial will be had at Old Shiloh tomorrow at 2:30 o'clock p.m. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Monroe SMITH of Patoka and the Rev. Robert PHILLIPS.

Mrs. Wood's husband died a little more than eight months ago. She is survived by the following named children: John & Jesse M. WOOD, Mrs. Louis McMEEN and Mrs. Walter HEANEY of Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Lydia SMITH of Ipava, IL.

All of the children were by the bedside of their mother when she died.
