Vivian May (Wilderman) Wilson

Vivian Wilson Of Belle Rive Died At Age 82

Vivian May Wilson, 82, Route 1 Belle Rive, died at 3:35 a.m. June 20, 1987, at Life Care Center in McLeansboro.

A retired employee of Mt. Vernon Shoe Factory, she was born Aug. 18, 1904, in Jefferson County, a daughter of Lewis L. and Clara Elsie (Derrington) Wilderman.

Dec. 24, 1925, in Van Orin, she married Raymond Wilson, who preceded her in death Feb. 19, 1983.

Survivors include three sons, Murrel Wilson of Opdyke, Gilbert Wilson and wife Molly of Joliet, and Donald Wilson and wife Marian of Deltona, Fla.; three daughters, Betty Gentle and husband Norman of Atlanta, Lois Wilkerson and husband Kenneth of Belle Rive, and Lila and husband James of Dahlgren; two brothers, Floyd Wilderman and wife Mildred of Bakerville, and Otis Wilderman and wife Minnie of Marion; 25 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with the Rev. Richard McCormick officiating. Burial will be in Cub Cemetery south of Mt. Vernon.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

The deceased was a member of Belle Rive Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother, a sister and two grandchildren.
