Edward Franklin "Uncle Ed" Wilson

Edward Franklin "Uncle Ed" Wilson died at 3:30 a.m. Sept. 21, 2008, at Charier Hospice Center in Evansville, Ind.

He was a route salesman for Old Style in Chicago for 25 years. He moved to Jasper, Ind., in the late 1980s. He has done many things in and around Jasper until his illness.

He was born June 14, 1937, in Waltonville, to Virgil and Alene (Harrison) Wilson.

Graveside services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday at Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser.

Visitation will be at Becher-Klueser Funeral Home in Jasper, Ind.

Survivors include son, Ron and Jackie Wilson of Omaha, Neb.; special friend and companion of 12 years, Debora Butler; two brothers, Richard C. Wilson of Marysville, Calif., and Glen and wife Donna Wilson of Kenosha, Wis.; a special brother-in-law, Richard McCowen; three sisters, Margie Richardson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Betty Hicks of Steeleville, Ill., and Virginia McCowen of Mt. Vernon; one uncle, three aunts.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William Leroy Wilson; one nephew, Richie McCowen; sister-in-law, Evelyn Wilson; and brother-in-law, Frank Hicks.
