Wilma Iva Williams
Wilma Iva Williams, 85, of Woodlawn died 7:35 p.m. March 30, 2005, at
St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
Mrs. Williams was born Nov. 14, 1919, in Woodlawn to William and Iva
Ellen (Fuller) Harvey. She married Claude Williams Jan. 10, 1942, in
Jackson, Mo.; he preceded her in death April 3, 1988.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Catherine Cemetery
in Woodlawn. Mr. Harold Engel and the Rev. Melvin Larson will officiate.
Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery on
Saturday morning. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hughey Funeral
Home in Mt. Vernon.
Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter, Sue Sanders and husband
Charles of Woodlawn; three grandchildren, Valerie Curless and husband Brad
of Woodlawn, Marsha Garrett and husband Ray of Woodlawn and David Sanders
and wife Kathy of Woodlawn; seven great-grandchildren, Nicholas Collins
of Woodlawn, Nathan Sanders of Woodlawn, Phillip Garrett of Woodlawn,
Whitney Sanders of Woodlawn, Cody Collins of Woodlawn, Jordan Sanders of
Woodlawn and Cheyanne Curless of Woodlawn; a sister, Frieda Bierman and
husband Ralph of Woodlawn; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a great-grandson,
Timothy Collins; and a brother, William "Bud" Harvey.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the Cedarhurst Quilters, the Rebekah's Lodge,
Royal Neighbors and Woodlawn Christian Church, where she was also a Sunday
school teacher.

and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey
Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864. Arrangements have been
