Walter H. Williams

Walter H. Williams died Sunday morning at 12:30 o'clock at Mt. Vernon Hospital, where he had been taken for treatment some days previously.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock p.m., Tuesday at Wesley M. E. Church, conducted by the Rev. Ernest Connett and the Rev. J. A. Bell. Burial will follow at Old Union. Friends may view the body at Winfree's funeral home, 228 South 19th Street, at any convenient time up to the funeral hour.

Mr. Williams was a well known citizen of Mt. Vernon, and had engaged in the barber business in this city for the last 20-25 years, on South 10th Street. He had many friends and was held in the highest respect by all who knew him.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pinckney WILLIAMS of the south part of the county.

Mr. Williams' wife survives as do two children, Alvin WILLIAMS and Mrs. Lilah BOND, Mt. Vernon.

Two children preceded the father in death.

Mr. WILLIAMS was born in Jefferson County, 28 January 1884, and he was a little more than 47 years old.
