Mary Ann Williams

Mary Ann WILLIAMS, widow of Riley WILLIAMS, died at 5:10 o'clock Sunday morning in Chicago Heights, after an illness of one week.

Her husband died about three years ago in this city, and prior to that time they had lived in Mt. Vernon about a year.

Mrs. WILLIAMS is survived by seven sons and one daughter as follows: Jim Pete WILLIAMS, Mt. Vernon; Will, Plainview, Ark.; Tom, St. Louis; Frank and Harve, Sesser, Ill.; Jack and Shelle, Chicago Heights.

Mrs. WILLIAMS would have been 77 years old had she lived until March.

Mrs. WILLIAMS made her home with her children in Chicago Heights.

She was a member of the Baptist Church, and an excellent Christian woman and had many friends while a resident of Mt. Vernon.

The body on arrival in Mt. Vernon was taken to the home of her son, Jim Pete WILLIAMS, 1008 South 20th Street, where it will remain until 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. Funeral services will be held at 11:00, conducted by the Rev. Riley BURTON, and burial will follow at Kirk Cemetery.
