Allene Williams Of Ina Dies At Age 69

Mrs. Allene Williams, 69, Ina, died at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 22, 1987, at Crossroads Community Hospital.

Mrs. Williams was born Feb. 20, 1918, in Jefferson County, a daughter of Matthew and Ivy (Wells) Merriman.

On March 22, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., she married Buel L. Williams, who survives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Johnston Funeral Home in Ina with the Rev. Dale Burzynski officiating. Burial will follow in Kirk Cemetery in Ina.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Darrell Williams of Washington; two daughters, Sharon Williams of Mt. Vernon and Connie Grimes of Ina; six grandchildren; two great-grandsons; two brothers, Wayne Merriman of Lebanon, Mo., and Lester Merriman of Peoria; five sisters, Vaneeta Allen of Bonnie, Josephine Boger of Salem, Maxine Glesson of O’Fallon, Grace Rozelle of El Jobean, Fla., and Mary Shelton of Lake Wales, Fla.

Mrs. Williams was a member of Bonnie Church of God.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, one brother and two sisters.
