Grace Willard Mt. Vernon

Mrs. Grace L. Willard, 77, of 1415 S. 14th St., was dead on arrival at Good Samaritan Hospital at 2:05 a.m. Sunday.

She was an employee of the American Laundry for 17 years.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Howard Flota officiating. Burial will be in Bethel cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Monday.

Mrs. Willard was born in Columbus, Ind., on Aug. 9, 1897, the daughter of Albert and May (Jones) Stader.

She was married to William Henry Willard on Jan. 22, 1917. He preceded her in death on Feb. 15,1944.

Mrs. Willard was a member of the Waltonville Freewill Baptist church.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Webb, Mrs. Ruby Wicks, and Mrs. Mary Haynes, all of Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Bonnie Pate, Waltonville; two sons, William Willard, Columbus, Ohio, and Meredith Willard, Ashley; one sister, Mrs. Gladys Oxman, Vincennes, Ind.; 20 grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren.
