David P. Wells , Rites Wednesday

Funeral services for David P. Wells will be held Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at the Fry Funeral Home in Waltonville, with the Rev. Harol Dowdy officiating. Burial will be at the Knob Prairie cemetery.

Mr. Wells, 78, of St. Cloud, Fla., a former resident of Waltonville, died at 5:00 p.m. Friday in the hospital at Kissimmee, Fla.

Mr. Wells was born March 5, 1883, in Jefferson County, the son of George D. and Lavinia (Rightnowar) Wells.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary (Dowdy) Wells of St. Cloud; a daughter, Mrs. Fred Baker of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Mrs. B. L. Flanagan of the Salem Road. two step sons; Harold Dowdy of De Land, Fla., and James Dowdy of Gainesville, Fla,; a step-daughter, Mrs. Earl Strand of Tampa, Fla.; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, C. Leland Wells.

Mr. Wells was a member of the Church of Christ.
