Samuel Augustus Weast, will known resident of the West Salem neighborhood, died at seven 0'clock this morning at his home a mile west of Mt. Vernon. His age was 65 years, six months and 20 days.

Funeral services will be held at nine o'clock Friday morning, August 26th at St. Mary's Church, with Father Edward Dahmus conducting the services. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The body will remain at the Shiloh Township home until the funeral hour.

Mr. Weast was born February 4, 1873, the son of T. M. and Rody Weast.

He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Viola Irene Long of Manteno, IL and Irma Blanch Look of Detroit, MI; two sisters, Gertrude Kerr of Edinburgh, IL and Wilamina Ferrell of Detroit, MI; and three grandchildren.
