Kenneth "Keith" Watts

Kenneth "Keith" Watts, 81, of Mt. Vernon died at 10:47 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2006 at Countryside Manor in Mt. Vernon.

He was a sheet metal worker for the Union Metal Workers.

He was born to Lloyd and Frankie (Hoyt) Watts in Brookside Township in Clinton County.

He married Donna (Clemmons) Watts on Oct. 26, 1946 in Mt. Vernon.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with a Jefferson County Shrine Walk Through at 1 p.m. Mr. J. Howard Kraps will officiate. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

He is survived by two sisters, Mary Ellen Dodson of Mt. Vernon, Ferne Watts Kissel of Mt. Vernon; two brothers-in-law, Robert Clemens and wife, Betty of Decatur, Marvin Clemens and wife, Opal of Mt. Vernon and sister-in-law, Janet Clemens of Decatur. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

His parents, wife and brother all preceded him in death.

He served in World War II in the U.S. Army in Italy and was a member of Central Christian Church and Jefferson County Shrine Club.

For those who wish, memorial may be given to the Shriners' Childrens Hospital and will be accepted at church or the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funereal Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon 62864. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hughey Funeral Home where you may call 618-242-3348 for further information.
