James R. "Bob" Watson

James R. "Bob" Watson, 73, of Momence and Winter Haven, Fla., and formerly of the Mt. Vernon and Centralia area died 9:46 p.m. Jan. 15, 2005, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Fla.

He was a sales representative for a liquor company.

Mr. Watson was born Oct. 3, 1931, in Mt. Vernon to Aubrey E. and Elva (Fagan) Watson.

He married Shirley (Cutty) Watson April 28, 1967, in Hillsboro; she survives.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. The Rev. Everett Lemay will officiate. Visitation will be held from noon until the funeral hour Saturday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Shirley Watson of Momence; a son, Nick Watson and wife Mary of Momence; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Watson of Momence; a sister, Sue Anne Pickerill and husband James of Mayfield Village, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Watson was a member of Gilead United Methodist Church in Centralia.

He served in the United States Air Force.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the church of the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O.
