Jesse Everett Walling

Jesse Everett Walling, a retired farmer, died suddenly at 7:00 o'clock last evening while watching television at his home in Field township, on RFD 6, Mt. Vernon. He was 72 years, nine months and seven days of age.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 am at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. John Hurt officiating, and burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 10:30 am Thursday.

Mr. Walling was born April 1, 1882 in Indiana.

He was married to Jessie Cole, who survives.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. May Parker and Mrs. Mable Parker of St. Louis and Mrs. Mildred Sinks of Hollywood, Calif., one brother, Earl of St. Louis; and three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Crabtree of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Nell Gilbert and Miss Laura Martin of St. Louis.
