Rosa (Pickett) Tucker

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa TUCKER will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Myers Chapel with the Rev. Carl WHITTINGTON officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday. Mrs. TUCKER was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Mrs. TUCKER, 88, of 917 Lamar, died at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday in Jefferson Memorial Hospital.

She was born November 12, 1878, in Spring Garden, the daughter of William Granvel and Harriet (ALLEN) PICKETT.
(The obituary actually says PUCKETT.)

She was married to Lewis J. TUCKER, who preceded her in death in 1922.

She was also preceded in death by 3 daughters, 7 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Survivors include 3 sons, Ernest TUCKER of Hollywood, Calif., John TUCKER of Schererville, Ind., Vivus Conrad TUCKER of Calument City, IL; 4 daughters, Mrs. Hattie T. JACKSON, Mrs. Amanda A. GODDARD, both of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Dotollie WITKOWSKI of Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. Valarie OROSCO, Calif; 22 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
