Opal (Reynolds) McLaughlin Trout

Opal Trout Of Murphysboro Died At Age 79

Opal McLaughlin Trout, 79, of Murphysboro and formerly of the Woodlawn area, died 6:50 a.m. Aug. 25, 1990, at St. Joseph Hospital in Murphysboro.

Mrs. Trout was born March 26, 1911, in Woodlawn, a daughter of George and Nettie (Moore) Reynolds.

In 1927 in Nashville, she married Everett McLaughlin, who died in 1956.

In 1960 in Murphysboro, she married Carl Trout, who died in 1989.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pettett Funeral Home in Murphysboro with the Rev. Loy Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Friends may call 5 to 9 p.m. today and until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Trout is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Durham, Ollie Jackson and June Webb all of Murphysboro; one brother, Lester Reynolds of Belleville; one sister, Zita Schaefer of Lakeside, Calif.; one sister-in-law, Flossie Downes of Mt. Vernon; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to both husbands, Mrs. Trout was preceded in death by her parents.
