George F. Traughber died at 7:00 o'clock this morning at his home on RFD 7, Mt. Vernon. He was 71 years, one month and 18 days of age.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pulley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Virgil Barr officiating, and burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.The body will remain at the Pulley Funeral Home, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Traughber was born September 15, 1881 in Moweaqua, Ill., the son of Doyel and Lydia (Myers) Traughber.

He was married in 1914, to Nettie McKinney, who survives.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Geneva Haley of Mt. Vernon and one grandchild.
