Fleeta (Holloway) McConnaughhay Tracy

Fleeta Tracy, 94, of Route #1, Bluford, and late of Mt. Vernon Care Center, died at 7:45 p.m. September 17, 1991 in Good Samaritan Regional Health Center.

Mrs. Tracey was born January 10, 1897, in Farrington Township, a daughter of George and Carrie (Bond) Holloway.

March 10, 1914 she married Ben McConnaughhay who died in November of 1921.

In 1924 she married Dave Tracey who died March 8, 1937.

Services were held at Nason Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Geraldine Lewis officiating. Burial followed in Abner Cemetery in Nason. Johnson Funeral Home of Mt. Vernon was in charge of the services.

She is survived by three sons, Dwight McConnaughhay of Colorado Springs, Colorado, George Tracey of Genoa, Bill Tracey of Mt. Vernon; five daughters, Marie Ashley of Palatine, Mary Moss of Belvidere, Freda Houtz of Mt. Vernon, Betty Woodworth and Louise Thomas both of Bluford; one sister Violet Gilbert of Rochelle; 27 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs.Tracey belonged to Nason Free Will Baptist Church, where she was the oldest member.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, six bothers, one sister and four grandchildren.
