DEATH QUICKLY FOLLOWS ATTACT OF HEART TROUBLE

Mrs. John Toney, Stricken Here Yesterday Dies At Home Soon After Was in Usual Health Until Early in Afternoon. Will Be Buried at Oakwood Cemetery Tomorrow Morning.

Yesterday's Register-News told of the attact of heart trouble, which Mrs. Nannie A. TONEY, wife of John Toney, suffered while shopping in the downtown business district. Mrs. Toney was hurried to her home in a car, but failed to obtain relief, and died at 6 o'clock last evening.

Mrs. Toney had suffered with heart trouble for the past twelve to fifteen years, and while in town yesterday had consulted a physician, and medicine had been obtained for her. When she was stricken yesterday her physician was hurriedly called, and he ministered to her, and as soon as her condition would justify she was taken home in a car.

Until she was stricken early in the afternoon she had been in her usual health and she and her husband ate dinner at a local restaurant. With her husband she had come to Mt. Vernon to do some shopping and to consult a physician, and had driven here in a buggy. Mr. Toney returned home in the buggy, but Mrs. Toney's condition was suchb it was deemed best to hasten the trip by sending her in a car.

Mr. and Mrs. Toney and their children lived on Jefferson avenue some years ago, removing from Mt. Vernon to Ina, where Mr. Toney was a section foreman. His health failed and the family moved to a farm about two and a half miles from Bonnie, where they still live.

Mrs. Toney was born in Union county, Illinois, June 29,1854, and her maiden name was Vansel.

She and Mr. Toney were united in marriage in 1875, at Jonesboro, and moved to Mt. Vernon in 1882, where they lived until they moved to Ina.

Mrs. Toney is survived by her husband, John Toney and following named children: Bert Toney, Danville, Ill., Walter Toney, Ina, William Toney, Johnson City, and Mrs. John Puckett, living near Hickory Hill, Jefferson county.

Three children are dead.

Mrs. Toney joined the Baptist church when twelve years old, and lived throughout her life a faithful christian. She was a member of the Baptist church at Ina at the time of her death. She was a home woman in every sense of the word snd her first thought was ever of her family and their comfort. No sacrifice was too great for her to make for her loved ones, and she thought not of self, where the interests of her husband and children were concerned.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 10 o'clock at the family home and burial will follow at Oakwood. It is the desire of the family that the Rev. C.C. Mitchell conduct the services. He is now engaged in a meeting at Dalhgren.
