James C. Tittle

James C. Tittle Dies in Bonnie;
Rites Saturday

James Curiee Smith, a well, known farmer, died at 2:20 o’clock yesterday afternoon at his home in Bonnie. His age was 60 years, seven months and seven days.

Funeral services will be held at two o’clock Saturday afternoon, at Hungry Hill church, conducted by Rev. Harrison Knight, who will be assisted by Rev. William Wright. Burial will follow in Smith cemetery in Spring Garden township.

The body will lie in state at Hawkins Funeral Home here until eight o’clock tonight, then will be taken to the Bonnie home, where friends may call at any time up to the funeral hour.

Mr. Tittle was born in Hamilton county, January 8, 1880, the son of Rev. Elijah Tittle and Mary York Tittle, both of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by his widow, Mattie; nine children, Mrs. E. G. Granneman of Peoria, Mrs. Herbert L. Seeney of Davenport, Iowa, Mrs. H. H. Campbell of Concordia, Mo., Mrs. Oral Deichtman of Mt. Vernon; Byfor Tittle of Peoria, Homer Tittle of Lees Summit, Mo., and Howard, Rayburn and Eugne Tittle, at home; a sister, Mrs. William Fitzgerald of Bonnie; and a brother, Rev. P. D. Tittle of Mt. Vernon.

Five children preceded him in death.
