Eugene Thery Of Benton Died At Age 52

Eugene E. "Blue Jay" Thery, 52, of Benton, died at 1:30 a.m. Sept. 22, 1993 at this home. He was a coal miner.

He was born Aug. 1, 1941 at Glen White, W. Va., a son Eugene Louis and Marguerite (Fievet) Thery.

On Nov. 4, 1967 at Christopher, he married Ada Jean Darrough, who survives.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Brayfield Funeral home in Sesser, with the Rev. Michael Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Old Baptist Cemetery, north of Sesser. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

He was a member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church and the United Mine Workers of America.

Mr. Thery is survived by his wife; two sons, Louis Eugene Thery of Coello and David Matthew Thery of Bonnie; one brother, Louis Jules Thery of Coello; one niece and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
