Hattie Marie Strattan Dies Tuesday at Age of 83 years

Mrs Hattie Marie Strattan 83,of 606 south Third street died at 8:13 p.m.Tuesday at Setzekorn Nursing home where she had lived for the past week.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body has been taken to Myers Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs Strattan was born Nov.12 1877 in Cincinnati Ohio.

She was married to Fred E. Strattan who preceded her in death Oct.11,1945.

For many years she and Mr. Strattan had the fishing and boating concession at the city reservoir now known as Heil Lake.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Porter, Mrs. Alice Funkhouser, both of Mt. Vernon and Mrs.Helen Prather of Chatham IL; a son Leonard Strattan of Mt. Vernon; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Strattan was a member of the First Baptist Church.
