Henry Stonecipher

HENRY STONECIPHER DIES TODAY AT AGE OF 83; RITES SAT

Henry Stonecipher died at 6:50 o'clock this morning at his Field township home at the age of 83 years, nine months and 11 days.

Mr. Stonecipher, a farmer for many years in his locality, was highly respected by all who knew him. He was a member of the Zion M. E. Church.

He was the son of George and Mary Ann Stonecipher, both of whom died several years ago.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Saturday afternoon at Hopewell, conducted by the Rev. Miller. Interment will be had in Hopewell Cemetery.

Besides his widow, Lillie, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Walter Chambliss of St. Joseph, Ill.; and Mrs. Walter Jones of Champaign; two sons, Dewey of Shirley, Ill., and George, at home; one sister, Mary Ann Ratliff of Mt. Vernon and six grandchildren.

The body will remain at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix until six o'clock Friday evening, at which time it will be taken to the home in Field township.
