Henry H. Stone

Henry H. Stone, 76, of Opdyke and formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died 2:30 p.m. March 1, 2005, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. He was a self-employed carpenter.

Mr. Stone was born Nov. 3, 1928, in Jonesboro, Ark., to Edgar and Myrtle (Hargett) Stone.

He married Fanny (Cook) Stone Nov. 23, 1950, in Arkansas; she survives.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Apostolic Deliverance Tabernacle Church. The Rev. Gary Karch will officiate. Burial will be at Bethel Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at 11 a.m. Saturday until the funeral hour at Apostolic Deliverance Tabernacle Church.

Mr. Stone is survived by his wife, Fanny Stone of East Prairie, Mo.; sons Henry (Bubby) Stone Jr. and wife Teanett of Lebanon, Fla., James Lloyd Stone of East Prairie, Mo., and Scott Stone and wife Misty of Mt. Vernon; daughters Mary Yon and husband Earl of Opdyke and Deana Pheonix and husband Joe of Opdyke; grandchildren Wayne Yon and wife Carla, Tina Hubbard and husband Peter, Michael Yon and wife Mindy, Tim Stone and wife Jennifer, Angela Pheonix, Joseph Pheonix II and wife Angel, Joyce Isaacs and husband Tim, April Pheonix, Heather Stone and Jessica Stone; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Lucy Cook of Paragould, Ark., and Clara Sue Wunder of Pekin; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Anthony Yon; three brothers; and three sisters.

Mr. Stone attended Apostolic Deliverance Tabernacle Church.
