Mary Lou (Batts) Stolleis

Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Stolleis, of Springfield and formerly of Raymond and Sesser died 12:30 pm Feb 16, 2004, at Memorial Hospital in Springfield.

She was a retired legal secretary.

Mrs. Stolleis was born Aug. 15, 1922, in Marion to John and Anges Amelia (Walker) Batts.

She married Carl H. Stolleis Sept. 9, 1971, in Mt. Vernon; he survives.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm today at Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser, with services following at 7pm. The Rev. Dan Williams will officiate.

A visitation will also be held from 5 to 7 pm Thursday at Hough Funeral Home in Raymond. A service will be held 10 am Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvel. Clifford Adair and Darrell Debowey will officiate. Graveside services will be held 1 pm Friday at Roselawn Cemetery in Springfield.

Mrs. Stolleis is survived by her husband, Carl H. Stolleis of Springfield; three step sons, Michael of Pleasant Plains, Patrick and wife Carolyn of Bradforton and Thomas of Springfield; a step daughter, Stacey DiFucci of Springfield; seven step- grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; a sister, Jane of Lafayette, Ind., wife of the late Dr. Barton Bridge, a brother, John Batts of Billings, Mont.; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the organization of the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
