Twila Gaye (Dees) Snow

Twila Gaye Snow 35, of Bonnie died at 3:20 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2005 at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

She was born on Nov. 17, 1970, in Mt. Vernon to Charles and Carole (Lynch) Dees.

She married Steven Snow on Aug. 19, 1989, at South Hickory Hill Christian Church in rural Mt. Vernon and he survives.

Twila was a member of the South Hickory Hill Christian Church.

She was a homemaker and had recently become a teacher.

Twila was a 1988 graduate of Waltonville High School; a graduate of Rend Lake College and Southern Illinois University.

She was the founder of the All for One Cancer Support Group and a Team Leader of Relay For Life for the past two years.

She was a member of the South Hickory Hill Christian Church. She was Loving wife and devoted mother. She was Steven's Hero and Best Friend.

Visitation will be held 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Pastor Gilbert Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at the South Hickory Hill Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Steven Snow of Bonnie; one son, Blake Snow and two daughters, Twanna and Taylor Snow all still at home; parents, Charles and Carole Dees of Bonnie; paternal grandfather, Orland Dees of Waltonville; and maternal grandmother, Ethel Lynch of Bonnie; two sisters, Angela and husband, Douglas Summers of Bonnie, and Shelley and husband, Mitch McDowell of Mt. Vernon; her mother and father-in-law, Cleatis Snow and wife, Shirley of Mt. Vernon; three brother-in-laws, Charles "Rusty" Snow and wife, Donna of Mt. Vernon, Cleatis "Sonny" Snow, Jr. and wife Amy of Mt. Vernon, Todd Snow of Mt. Vernon; her three sister-in-laws, Diane and husband, Les Boone of Mt. Vernon, Kathy and husband, Bob Hulbert of Mt. Vernon, Rhonda and Frank Yeager of Georgetown, Ky. and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Lynch, paternal grandmother, Nina Dees.
