Rites Thursday For Smith Boy

Marlin Kent Smith Of Mt. Vernon Died At Birth

Graveside services for Marlin Kent Smith, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Smith, Jr., of 734 Fairfield Road, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at South Hickory Hill cemetery.

The baby was born dead at 2:43 a.m. today at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Besides the parents, John E. Jr., and Wanda (Wilson) Smith, the infant is survived by the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Smith, Sr., of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Velma Wilson of Bonnie and the great-grandmother, Mrs. Alfa Koontz of Fairfield.
