Eugene C. Smith Dies at Age 77

Eugene Casey Smith, farmer and fruit grower died at 7:10 am today at his home on the Centralia road at the age of 77 years, five m onths and 26 days.

The farm home in Shiloh township where he was born July 19, 1868, and lived all his life, was homestead by his grandfather, Green P. Casey.

Mr. Smith was the son of John T. and Mary A. (Casey) Smith and he is survived by one brother, Walter N. Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am tomorrow at Old Shikloh church and burial will be in Old Shiloh cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Pulley Funeral Home after 4 pm today.
