Mrs. Mary J. Smith, wife of J. N. Smith, died of pneumonia, at her home on Elm street, at 2:30 this morning.

She was 68 years of age and had lived all her life in this county.

She was a member of the Baptist church and was highly respected by all who knew her.

She leaves four children, of whom Jerry and Mrs. Robert Wallace are residents of this city, J. N. Smith of Ellis Mound, Hamilton county, and Mrs. M. A. Reynolds of Willliamsburg.

The funeral will take place tomorrow morning with interment at Reynolds graveyard, near Woodlawn.
