Minnie (Walker) Shields

Mrs. Minnie Shields Died Early Today; Be Buried Saturday

Mrs. Minnie Shields, daughter of the late Henry and Martha Walker, died at her home, 101 south Seventeen street this morning at 3:40 o'clock, following a lingering illness.

Mrs. Shields was a life long memeber of Limestone (Pleasant Hill) church, south of Dix, and was a true christian woman in every sense of the word, and a devoted mother, never tiring in her efforts to make a pleasant home for her children.

She is survived by six children, Harvey, Wendell, Mrs. Heber Breeze, Mrs. Cecil Lovin, Mrs. Fred Vallowe and Ivan, with whom she made her home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the Second Baptist Church. Interment will be made at Pleasant Hill.

Friends may view the body at the home at any convienent time up to the funeral hour.

The body was taken to the Appleman-Hawkins funeral home and prepared for burial, and was to be returned to the family home about 3 o'clock this afternoon.


*NOTE* Harvey is supposed to be Harry I believe.
