Robert "Bob" Rynski

Robert "Bob" Rynski of Ashley departed this life 7 a.m. July 27, 2006, at his son's residence in rural Ashley. He had attained the age of 71 years, 9 months and 15 days.

Mr. Rynski was born Oct. 12, 1934, in Jefferson County, a son of Louis and Theresa (Kabat) Rynski.

He was united in marriage to Josephine (Kula) Rynski Nov. 5, 1966, in Radom; she survives his passing.

Mr. Rynski was employed by Casner Township as a road grader operator and he also worked as a butcher at Smolley's Processing.

He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Radom. He was an avid hunter and he enjoyed fishing, winemaking, gardening and mushroom hunting.

Mr. Rynski is survived by his wife, Josephine Rynski of Ashley; five children, Evelyn "Lynn" Fields and husband Brian and Diane Metcalf and husband Rob, all of Ashley, Jeanette Ferguson and husband Rodney of Centralia and Ted Rynski and John Rynski and wife Kendra, all of Ashley. He was the proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren: Josh Wulff and wife Angelica, Matt and Brittany Fields, Christopher Wilson, Cole and Joey Metcalf, Jessica Ferguson and Ryleigh, Haleigh and Race Rynski; a brother, Ed Rynski and wife Virginia of Belleville; a sister, Dorothy Dalman of Okawville; a sister-in-law, Frances Smalley and husband Bill of Ashley; a brother-in-law, Raymond Kula of Ashley; and several nieces, nephews and other relations and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Rynski; and his mother and father-in-law, John and Catherine Kula.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, with the Rev. Robert Zwelling officiating and interment in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley. The rosary will be recited 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Church or school and will be accepted at Campagna Funeral Home.
