Jesse E. Russell, 82, of Belle Rive, died 9:57 p.m. Nov. 5, 1989, at Crossroads Community Hospital.

Mr. Russell was a farmer until retirement.

He was born Sept. 6, 1907, in Keenes, a son of Albert Wilson and Hassie (McConnaughay) Russell.

In 1951, in Jefferson County, he married Effie Wells, who died April 27, 1981.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wells Chapel Cemetery in Dix. Burial will follow.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix.

Mr. Russell is survived by two daughters, Edna Wilson of Odessa, Texas, and Evalo Moseley of Odessa; and three sisters, Pearl Loker of Mt. Vernon, Bernice Punches of Raytown, Mo., and Mary Knight of Salem.
