James Rose

James Earl Rose, 42, of Valdosta, Ga., formerly of Mt. Vernon, died on Dec. 14, 1999, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga.

Mr. Rose was born on Dec. 18, 1956, in Mt. Vernon, a son of Henry Earl and Ladean Lin (Clark) Rose; both survive.

Mr. Rose was previously employed by Oelze Oil in Nashville and at Buzz Truck Center in Valdosta, Ga., until failing health.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Fred Estheimer officiating. Those attending are asked to go to Memorial Gardens. Johnston Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon is in charge of arrangements. In addition to his parents,

Mr. Rose is survived by one son, Nathan Shane Rose of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Rogene Fitts and husband David and Lorena Richard and husband Wayne, all of Mt. Vernon; aunts Jolene (Harold) Nixon, Wyva (Bill) Bullard, Betty Cotner, Alletta (Harold) French, Amy (Bud) Howard, Judy (Albert) Schnieder and Betty Jo Clark; uncles Jim (Wilma) Rose, Harl (Audria) Clark, Gerry Clark, Stan (Lenore) Clark and Eddie (Judy) Clark; and several nieces, nephew and cousins.

Mr. Rose was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Susie Rose and Linzy and Zelma Clark, and uncles Richard Clark, Ralph Cotner and Karl Martin.
