Funeral services for Goldie M. Rogers, 78, of rural Scheller, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Brayfield Funeral Home in Sesser. The Rev. Jack Ketterman and the Rev. Carl Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rogers died Sunday evening in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

She was born Nov. 14, 1895, in Jefferson County to James and Sarah Norris Asbury.

She had been married to Kirby Rogers for 55 years.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Leslie of Salem; and three grandchildren.
