Jas. D. Robinson

Jas. D. ROBINSON, died at his home, three and one half miles north of the city, at 3:25 this morning, aged 73 years, two months and two days.

Mr. Robinson was born in Gibson county, Ind., February 15, 1825 and remained there till 1847 when he went to Adams county, Miss., where he engaged in floating logs.

In 1855 he came north and located in Jefferson county. Shortly after coming here he was married to Mrs. Wm. CASEY, daughter of J. Y. SHELTON.

From this union was born two children. His first wife dying he was married to Miss Elizabeth, the daughter of Tillman SHIRLEY.

Mr. and Mrs. Robinson adopted a son shortly after their marriage.

Politically Mr. Robinson was a Democrat. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and was highly esteemed by all who knew him.

The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. J. C. Kinnison at Pleasant Grove church at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. Interment at Pleasant Grove cemetery.
