Mary (Prinnell) McCoy Riley

Mrs. Mary Riley Dies at Age 59

Mrs. Mary Riley, of 407 S. Fourth street, died at 5:40 p. m. yesterday at the age of 59 years and ten days.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Monday at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. M. L. Baker officiating, and burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery. The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call at any time after 3:00 p. m. Saturday.

Mrs. Riley was born April 4, 1890 in Jefferson county, the daughter of Roe and Martha (Eades) Prinnell.

She was first married to James McCoy, who died in 1906, In 1908 she was married to Oliver Riley, who survives.

Mrs. Riley was a member of the East Side Baptist church. Besides her husband, she is survived by five sons. Bill, Fred and Johnnie Riley of Mt. Vernon, Toney Riley of the U. S. Marine Corps and Jeffie McCoy of Mt. Vernon: three daughters, Mrs. Dora Nichols. Mrs. Lucille Schreck and Mrs, Edith Wood, all of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Willis Prinnell of Mt. Vernon and Wesley Prinnell of Colorado; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Neal of Arkansas, Mrs. Fannie Summers of Ashley and Mrs. Lula Huston of Mt. Vernon; and ten grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Homer and Charles Edward, one sister, Annie Ward, and one brother.
