Geneva (Moore) Rightnowar

Geneva Rightnowar, 79, of Mt. Vernon died 1:25 a.m. Oct. 30, 2004, at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor in Mt. Vernon.

She was a sales clerk and cashier with Montgomery Ward in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Rightnowar was born Feb. 10, 1925, in Marks, Miss., to Willie and Ida (Smith) Moore.

She married the Rev. Earl M. Rightnowar Feb. 15, 1944, in Clarksdale, Miss.; he died Jan. 15, 2003.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. The Rev. Ted Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow at West Salem Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Rightnowar is survived by sons Robert Rightnowar and wife Gail of Mt. Vernon and Gary Rightnowar and wife Lisa of Bluford; a daughter, Sandra King of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren Garrett Rightnowar and wife Rachae of Fort Benning, Ga., Blaze Rightnowar of Bluford, Gina Hartmann and husband Reid of Imperial, Mo., Janetta Stallons and husband David of Mt. Vernon, Bo King of Bluford and Conan King and wife Heather of Bonnie; great-grandchildren Conner Hartmann of Imperial, Mo., Pierce Hartmann of Imperial, Mo., Max Hartmann of Imperial, Mo., Madison Stallons of Mt. Vernon, Dalton Brenneman of Mt. Vernon, Nicolas Smith of Lancaster, Calif., and Summer Riggs of Bonnie; a brother, Zoneal Moore of Baton Rouge, La.; sisters Dorothy Williams of Memphis, Tenn., Lois Strain and husband David of Itta Bena, Miss., and Nola Hood of Clarksdale, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, the Rev. Earl M. Rightnowar; two brothers, Norman Moore and Charles Moore; and two sisters, LaVera Strain and Zetha Williams.

Mrs. Rightnowar was a member of the Church of God in Mt. Vernon.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospice or Boy Scouts of America and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O.
