Amanda Melvina ATKINSON was born in the state of Tennessee, July 23, 1827, departed this life February 3, 1916, age 78y6m11d.

She was married at the age of 16 to H. M. RICHARDS of Tennessee.

She was converted to God in her youth and united with the Baptist Church at Harmony, and lived a consistent life until her demise. She died in the triumphs of a living faith.

She was a loving mother, a kind and indulgent companion and a friend to everyone. To know her was to love her.

Funeral services were held at Union Chapel, February 4, 1916, conducted by Rev. George S. CONANT, and interment made in the Chapel Cemetery.

"Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord from henceforth yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors and their works do follow them."
