Mr. Robert Harold Rich, age 74, of Gulfport, MS. died Wednesday December 30, 2008 in Gulfport, MS.

Mr. Rich was born to Orville and Juasnita L. [Taylor] Rich in 1934 in Mt. Vernon, IL.

He was a long time resident of the Gulf Coast and was self-employed as a truck driver.

Mr.Rich was preceeded in death by his parents; a son, Melvin Tony Rich; brothers, Larr Bruce Rich, Jewel Lee Rich, James Andy Rich; one infant sister,Sarah Rich; and one foster son, Harry E. [Hippi] Smith.

He is survived by four sons; Orval Todd "Wallet" Rich of Ocean Springs, MS.,Timothy Bruce Rich and Nathaniel "Nat" Rich of Gulfport, MS., and Michael Harold Rich of Tucson, AZ.; Three daughters; Tonya Ann Harrell of Saucier, MS., Miss Juanita Rich and Roberta Rich of Gulfport, MS.; one sister Linda Burwell of Mt. Vernon, IL.; and 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; three nephews and two nieces.

The family prefers memorials to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Ave., Gulfport, MS. 39501

The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
