Nathaniel "Nat" Rich

"Nat" Rich Dies At Age 72 Years; Rites Monday

Nathaniel "Nat" Rich of RFD 6, Mt. Vernon, died at 10:00 pm yesterday at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, Ill., where he had been a patient for the past week. He was 72 years, one month, and two days old.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 pm at Myers Chapel with the Rev. Joe Sledge and the Rev. Charles Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Williams cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 2:00 pm tomorrow.

Mr. Rich was born in Jefferson county June 13, 1888, the son of James and Lettie (Williams) Rich.

He was married to Mary Ann Holland, who preceded him in death July 30, 1958.

Survivors include two sons, Orville Rich of Mt. Vernon and Herman Rich of Joliet; two daughters, Mrs. Mamie Feitman of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Thelma Whittle of Belleville; three sisters, Mrs. Vada Shelton and Mrs. Mae McKinney, both of this city and Mrs. Rado Staddler of Flint, Mich.; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
