Ida Kathryn (Grissinger) Reish

Ida Kathryn Reish, 93, of Mt. Vernon died 5:20 a.m. April 16, 2005, at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor.

She was a secretary for A.E. Staley Co. in Decatur.

Mrs. Reish was born Nov. 24, 1911, in Lodi, Ohio, to Alfred and Verna (Eshelman) Grissinger.

She first married Charles Luther Moore; he preceded her in death.

She later married Leo W. Reish, he also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon. The Rev. Bill Causer will officiate. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the service time Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Reish is survived by a daughter, Ruth Jackson and husband Jim of Mt. Vernon; three grandchildren, Barry Jackson and wife Libby of Mt. Vernon, Nancy Jackson of Aurora and Michelle Jackson-Keisling and husband Jack of Page, Ariz.; three great-grandchildren, James Ryan Jackson of Mt. Vernon, Megan Elizabeth Jackson of Mt. Vernon and Hayden Jackson Keisling of Page, Ariz.; and a sister, Virginia Mann of Eustis, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Reish was a member of First Community Church of Mt. Vernon.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Sunshine Center or the charity of the donor's choice and will be accepted at the church or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hughey Funeral Home, where you may call 242-3348 for further information.
