Ethel (Johnston) Potts

Ethel Potts, 67, of Route 1 Texico, died at l:15 p.m. yesterday at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Mrs. Potts was born in Nameoki on Oct. 25, 1908, to Henry and Laura (Summerville) Johnston.

She was a member of the Donoho Prairie Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. Burial will at at the Donoho Prairie Christian Church cemetery.

She was married in St. Louis, Mo., on Nov. 15, 1939 to Leonard E. Potts, Sr., who survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Leonard E. Potts, Jr., Mt. Vernon, and James W. Potts, Salem; three daughters, Dolores M. Darnell, Caseyville, Dorothy M. Royal, Citrus Heights, Calif., and Florence M. Wappel, Belleville; 15 grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, James Johnston, Jacksonville, Fla.; and four sisters, Mable Baker, Venice, Elizabeth Henderson, Carlyle, Edna Kawell, Dillmer, Mo, and Tillie Kell, Washington Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Elmo Johnston, and one sister, Pearl Walker.
