Lottie Belle (Bradley) Porter

Lottie Belle Porter, widow of J. L. Porter, died suddenly last evening at her home east of the Hopewell Church, in Mt. Vernon township. Her age was 78 years and 28 days.

Mrs. Porter was stricken a short time after she had retired for the night.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hopewell Methodist Church, with the pastor, the Rev. Paul Wartenbe officiating. Burial will e in the nearby cemetery.

The body will remain at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix until 5:00 p.m. today, then will be taken to the family home, where friends may call.

Mrs. Porter was a member of the Hopewell Church and was a great worker in the church. Of cheerful disposition, she was one of the best liked and most respected residents of the community in which she lived.

She was born December 28, 1869, the daughter of William H. and Mary C. (Rannebarger) Bradley.

She was married to J. L. Porter, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Morris, of Mt. Vernon, and two grandchildren.
