Noma Susan (Hand) Pigg

Mrs. Noma Pigg Dies Last Night At Age 60 Years

Mrs. Noma Susan Pigg, of 125 Opdyke Avenue, died at 11:30 last night at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was 60 years, two months and 22 days of age.

The body was taken to Myers Chapel. Funeral arrangements were incompleted.

Mrs. Pigg was born June 17, 1900 in Wayne county, the daughter of Garfield and Florence (Whalen) Hand.

In 1917 she was married, in Mt. Vernon, to Raymond Pigg, who survives.

Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Betty Miller, Corabell Palmer and June Pigg, all of Mt. Vernon; three sons, Donald of Mt. Vernon, Gary, who is stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany, and Tommy of Spokane, Wash.; one brother, Leonard Hand of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Pauline Gardner of Lucedale, Miss., and Nadine Maybery of Wildwood, ILL.; and ten grandchildren.

Rites Tomorrow For Noma Pigg

Funeral services for Mrs. Noma Susan Pigg of 125 Opdyke Avenue will be held at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow at Myers Chapel with the Rev. Tracey dees officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove cemetery.

The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. today.

Mrs. Pigg, 60, died at 11:30 p.m. Friday at Good Samaritan Hospital.
