Eva (Badgett) Pigg

Mrs. Eva Pigg, wife of Fred Pigg died at the family home, 132 Watson Avenue, Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock. Her age at time of death was 48 years, 3 months and 22 days.

Mrs. Pigg is survived by her husband, one son, Frank Carl, and the following brothers: Lee, Barney and Will, of this city; Wilton, Pasadena, Calif., Paul R., Buffalo, N.Y., and John H., of Gary, Ind.

She was a daughter of W. T. and Martha Badgett, deceased.

Mrs. Pigg’s death was very sudden and unexpected, although she had been in failing health for a number of years. She had been engaged in her housework until late Friday night, after which she suffered a stroke which resulted in her death as stated above.

She was a member of the Epworth M. E. Church and was a willing worker in the church.

Funeral services will be held at the Epworth M. E. Church, Fourth and Main Streets, Tuesday at 2 o’clock. Burial will be had in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery north of Mt. Vernon.
